My name is Kansinee de Graef. I was born and raised in the Netherlands. I am a graphite artist that specializes in photorealism and detailed art.
My love for art started in my early childhood – it allowed me to express my emotions in a visual way and it brought me a lot of happiness to be creative using different mediums.
In 2008 I took an interest in realistic portrait drawing. I have spent over 10.000 hours practicing and perfecting my art. The motivation to achieve photorealism further fueled my artistic pursuit. I aim to always put my heart and soul into my artwork – I believe that only then you can feel and capture the likeness, emotion, and personality of a subject . Doing commissioned work gives me the chance to transform meaningful and memorable photos into a unique piece of art, which can be treasured for a lifetime.
Since 2015 I have also been working as a tattoo artist with a special focus on realism, florals and linework styles. It has been a new and exciting challenge for me to work with a different medium and to transfer the skills I acquired through drawing onto skin. Throughout my career I have met people from all walks of life who all have their own story – I love the process of working together with people and turning their stories and ideas into something visual. To be able to help people with my art is very rewarding.r
From a young age I have always been very interested in art. Pencil and paper were my favourite "toys" and I was always drawing or doing other creative things.
I think art is a beautiful way to express yourself.
I started drawing realistic portraits at the end of 2009. The first portrait I drew was of Hermione Granger and from that moment on I never stopped drawing portraits. Throughout the years I learned a lot about shading, materials and different techniques. Portrait drawing has e my passion
